In an increasingly digital world, protecting your online accounts and sensitive information is of paramount importance.
Dext has now introduced 2 factor authentication giving your account additional security to your username and password.

Dext now requires users to set up two factor authentication for their individual user login. This is being rolled out in two phases – first to users integrated with Xero; other accounting software will be required to set this up at a later stage.
You will be prompted when logging into Dext to add this extra layer of security. It can be completed by scanning the QR code on screen with your authenticator app e.g., Google or Authy.
Once enabled, it requires a one-time password (OTP) via an authenticator app (or desktop tool) to login to the Dext web app. When logging into your account and entering your verification code, you can select ‘Don’t ask me for the code for 7 days’. This will keep your account authenticated for the next 7 days and you won’t need to enter a new code, even if you sign into Dext from a different device or browser.
